“And those who have knowledge among you, let them give judgment according to it.” (Qur’an 4:59)
Darul Uloom Canada proudly presents Darul Iftaa – A 2 year Advanced Study of Jurisprudence, a selective program designed for graduates of the Alimiyyah course who aspire to serve the Muslim community as skilled Muftīs and scholars. This program develops the ability to research, analyze, and issue Islamic legal opinions (fatwas) for both classical and contemporary issues.
Students engage deeply with usul al-fiqh (legal theory), qawa’id al-fiqh (legal maxims), usul al-ifta’ (principles of fatwa), and derivative rulings, while learning to navigate modern challenges with ethical, balanced, and context-sensitive guidance. Through rigorous exercises and case studies, students gain confidence in addressing questions across worship, family law, finance, medicine, and societal concerns.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The most knowledgeable of my Ummah are those who fear Allah most.” (Tirmidhi)
